Two of my favorite trends this season are patched/embroidered denim and slip dresses. These are both really fun pieces to play around with. I found the most perfect patched denim jacket from Sunset & Spring at Bloomingdale’s. It cuts right above the hip and runs true to size (I got a small). I am also loving how the patches are embellished and that the denim is distressed.
You could definitely take this look from work to a night out by simply taking off the turtleneck. If you wanted to dress it up more add a choker and a leather jacket!
These block heel booties from Free People are a MUST-HAVE in your closet. They zipper up the back and are so comfortable. You can easily take these from day to night and they run true to size.
When the “pajama/ lingerie” trend first came out I was a little hesitant because when I’m in my PJ’s all I want to do is go to bed! As the trend was picking up, it was interesting to see how other bloggers were adding their personal style to it. My favorite is this slip dress from Heartloom at Revolve. The white stripes and the mini length make this dress more casual and fun! It is really all about how you style it or it will look like you’re about to go to sleep. So I layered this with a simple black turtleneck from J.Crew (major sale!).
Isn’t this mini backpack from Cynthia Rowley at Bloomingdale’s so adorable?! You can fit more than you think in there and it is perfect to stroll around the city in, get errands done, or even take to and from work (it can fit a mini iPad!)
